Happy 80th Birthday Machen Show!

It was my first time visiting Machen Show in Caerphilly today and we loved it!

It was great to meet with Sarah Marks, CEO of RedSTART.

As Shadow Minister for Education, I am keen to push for the best financial education that our children can have in our schools.

Great to hear some of their successes and how we could use a similar model in Wales.

I had a really excellent and informative visit to the truly brilliant Ysgol Bryn Derw in Newport with Jayne Bryant MS for our Senedd Cymru Children and Young People’s committee review into whether disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare.

I was pleased to meet with BMA Cymru Wales in the Welsh Parliament, at which their new Save Our Surgeries report was unveiled, detailing the urgent rescue package needed to support GPs in Wales and their patients.

I enjoyed a stunning late afternoon looking around the beautiful gardens on show in Usk for Usk Open Gardens. 

I would highly recommend a look around! Usk Castle garden was a family favourite 

It was great to be in Newport with my son and Welsh Conservatives to celebrate Wales National Armed Forces Day! 

It was wonderful to see so many people there showing their appreciation for all those serving in the military, veterans and cadets.

Really successful and busy ‘South Wales East Job Fair’ in #Newbridge organised by myself and my brilliant team.

Great to be able to help so many people today perhaps find their next career!
