I enjoyed a really useful and informative visit to Monmouth Comprehensive School , with the Senedd's Children, Young People and Education Committee, as part of our review into whether ‘disabled children and young people have equal access to education and childcare’.
After a tour of the fantastic SRB - Specialist Resource Base for learners with complex ALN needs - and conversations with teachers, learner, parents and 21 Plus we got a greater understanding of what is needed for those with Additional Learning Needs and disabilities. It was good to see some great examples of best practice in this regard.
A big thank you to all that took time out of their day to help with our evidence gathering. It was much appreciated.
