It was great to join protestors outside the Senedd and listen to their concerns about Welsh Labour’s barmy blanket 20mph.
Welsh Labour are intent on hammering motorists during a cost of living crisis.
It’s clear the public don’t want or need this. Wales deserves better.
No one disagrees that 20mph is needed outside schools, hospitals, playgrounds and specific places, but the blanket approach putting 20mph on roads that were 30mph, is not the way to do it.
For example, forcing people to go up big hills at 20mph or the cost of all the extra 20mph signs where they are not needed - sometimes, as we are seeing, right next to 30mph signs! Causing confusion for motorists.
This legislation has been ill thought out, has disregarded evidence or concerns, is too restrictive for Councils and has been badly delivered.
