'Feed Newport' praised for helping vulnerable during lockdown

Local Member of the Senedd, Laura Anne Jones MS, has praised the work of the voluntary group, 'Feed Newport' during a recent visit to the food bank.

“Feed Newport” offers support to vulnerable people living in food poverty, helping them to get back their feet.

Laura said , “It is incredibly impressive what this small group of volunteers has managed to achieve and deliver for the people of Newport.

“The services they provide are invaluable for those in need of help, especially in these unprecedented times of lockdown hardship. This shows what can be achieved by people working together and making a difference.

“I would like to thank Tariq Khan and Gemma Walker and all those involved in this fantastic project for the vital support they provide to the community. It is greatly appreciated.”
