Laura Anne Jones, Member of the Welsh Parliament for South East Wales, has praised the number of donors giving blood on a visit to the Welsh Blood Service in Usk today.
Commenting, Laura said, “It was so good to see so many people coming to have their blood taken in Usk today.
“It was particularly gratifying to hear the nurses comment on how impressed they were to see such a good turnout of young people.
“Blood donations are still going on despite the pandemic and there is always a need for new blood donors. I would encourage those who can to sign up and give blood because it literally saves lives.
“ I pay tribute to the dedication and hard work of the teams who ensure donations can continue in a safe environment for everyone, especially in these unprecedented times.”
